2PM member Nickhun (21 years old, Nichkhun Buck Horvejkul) showed his smile that makes everyone around him feel like they’re in a temple. Whenever he is sitting in front smiling, everyone follows him and has a bright expression on their face.
A cute face and a tall height noticed no matter where you are. Thai-American, who was born to a Thai father and a Chinese mother, Nickhun said, “When I was walking in the streets in the US, I was cast all of a sudden.” He’s still a little inept when talking in Korean, but he tried to understand even the hardest Chinese words, surprising the listeners.
What type of person is Nickhun amongst the 2PM members?
“2PM’s entertainer. Since my personality is so optimistic and I always try my best to smile. Even amongst the members, I feel like I have the role of a shield.
How did you become a singer?
“While I was walking in the streets in the US, I was cast by an entertainment company. I was in performances and I acted too but at first I wasn’t good at anything so I was yelled at a lot. I wasn’t improving at acting and I couldn’t dance well either. (laughs) Even now, I still remember how I practiced dancing and singing so hard every night just because I didn’t want to get yelled at. During that time I came to JYP.”
If so, which is closer to Nickhun? Actor or singer?
“I think actor. However I’m a 2PM member now and I’m working as a singer so I’m trying my best to become an even more amazing singer.”
What do you think your charm is?
“Working hard for everything. Rarely getting hurt and getting frustrated. Standing up strongly. What do you call a person like that? Oh right, a roly-poly.”
Then what about a bad thing about you?
“That Wooyoung and I are alike. That I often get way too serious. That I’m the type who’s always in agony and doesn’t open up.”
What do you do at 2pm?
“Entertaining. Haha.”
Do you ever take time to take care of your body?
“Unlike the other members, I don’t gain weight easily so I’m trying to gain weight. I try to eat anything and rest a lot.”
